working for the weekend

well hello there!

I am neck deep in electricians and sawdust. Yep, I am building my new bar. It has me busy from morning till night. Stop by and say hi.

I am feeling pretty good otherwise. I am trying to stop worrying. If you know me, then you know that I am a stress ball. So I am giving more of these worries to God. You know what, He is making things alot easier. I still have my nightmares about my son, but with you all praying out there, that worry can be fixed too.

Vintage 21 has officially moved to 209 Oberlin Rd. Yes a bigger and better building. I am excited!

Music-wise, things are going great. Me and my backup singer Angela are writing. I like her approach to my ideas. I have lots of ideas and they are starting to come out again. Hey, if you all know any drummers out there, I need one. Matt Stevens is getting married and he has to bail. If you know anyone, let me know.

have a great night
timothy lemuel

Me and Daniel were talking after we had said a prayer about the gallery. He begins to wax prolific and says "God gives us the desires of our heart". Daniel explains to me that when we are going down the chosen path, God gives us new desires.

Beautiful stuff I thought.

So true! And the last few days have proved it for both of us.

I have to enjoy this weather. Pray for my allergies.

Take care
timothy lemuel

Yep the weather is prrrrrrrfect!

I met with Angela Davis today and it went well. With this position here at the gallery I can now finish the bulk of my writing. I am glad I found a good female voice so soon in the writing process. She will be able to interject on the material.

I have a big event tonight at the gallery-an exhibit opening. Gonna be fun.

There is going to be a great service tomorrow at Vintage. Tyler is back from the whole "I just had a baby" thing. And we have an amazing guitarist playing with us.

Keep my brother in your prayers, he may attend Vintage this week.

Today's words of wisdom: Make time for God. You ask Him to make miracles happen for you. The least we can do is make time for Him.

timothy lemuel

So I am on the look out for an electrician. I have one but he is really busy and has a hard time remembering lil' ole Bickett Gallery. If you know one...send him my way.

I am having a great day off! I cleaned the whole(well mostly) house and it looks great. The weather is sunny and nice. I am working tonight but at least I have the afternoon off.

ok, ok, ok

Ok so I havent been updating lately.

Tell you the truth I have no excuse.

Here is the play by play of what is going on in the life of timothy lemuel.

I have been having daily meetings with contractors and inspectors here at the gallery. You see I am expanding and I have been making the preparations for that.

I have a good line up this week so check your email. If you aren't on the list, just email me at timothylemuel@bickettgallery.com and I will get you on it.

Things have been going good in my life.
I have been going to a Bible study on Mondays and its really changing the way I think.
I was asked to sing at a few weddings this spring/summer. I am so excited about that.
I am meeting with Angela Davis this Friday to show her some of the stuff I have been working on with my music and maybe have her join forces.
Daniel Hunter is gonna assist me with building the actually bar part of the gallery.
I was approached by a general contractor that will be doing all my demolition and renovation work for free.THANK YOU GOD!
The nights here have been great at the gallery; people are really catching on. This is important since my contract says I am a percentage of gross. Soon I will be making an actual profit(that means I can pay off my debts very soon!).

I would like you all to say a prayer for the following:
-my friend Matt has been talking to me about turning his life over to Christ
-my brother Michael told me he was gonna start going to church
-I have been given this great opportunity here at the gallery and I don't want to let my business take away time from my spiritual growth
-that I will be able to make enough to start making good on my debts

Well good to hear that you all are worried about me and my lack of journal updates, I will try my best to do better.

write me back if you get a chance
timothy lemuel

Sorry folks, I was sick. Nothing bad, just a cold and I just needed some rest.

I have been given a new idea for what I can do for Vintage. Its a secret that I will tell only you all who are reading this journal. Over the last few days I have been working on Macromedia Shockwave cartoons. I am honing my skills to the point where I will be able to make a decent Vintage 21 cartoon.

Keep this under your hat. I will need some people for voice overs and storylines.

If you have any desire to do something new and exciting.

Let me know.

talk to you in a bit.

timothy lemuel

By the way I know you know this, but Ticonderoga is playing VINTAGE 21 and bickett gallery tonight

9 at vintage and 11 at bickett gallery

but you knew that didnt you?

I have sneezed 54 times today. I think its allergies. I don't know. I do know that it is hurting my throat to sneeze this much. Say a prayer fer me will ya?

Ok last night was great at the gallery. I set up the P.A. and folks played music till 1:30. I come in to the gallery and make sure that my bartenders are having a good time and everyone is doing ok. I like to do it but I will be pleased when I don't have to stay up till 3am every night. Everyone that works for me is coming along quickly and it wont be long. Hope you are all doing ok. I am pretty excited at the results of my efforts.

I cleaned the house and did laundry yesterday. I take seeing the floor in my room for granted. Smitty comes back soon and maybe I can convince him to tackle some of his heaps.

Talk to you all after I read my new weekly study book.
Easy like........

Hey there,

I just got up from a nap and I am about to go bartend over at the gallery. My Sunday-Monday bartender starts tomorrow, so I am gonna do it tonight. So do you know what that means? It means that I expect all of you to stop by and say "Hi".

I mean it you better or I will hunt you down.

I would like to say thanks to you all that respond to this thing. I would probably write it anyways, but you all make my email reading and journal responses worth checking my computer every hour. So Thank You.

Sarah, I hope you feel better!

Ok the moment you have been waiting for....Today's thought.

I have been having these arguments with those that don't agree with my beliefs. I don't start 'em. I even try to stop 'em. I can't ever say anything that they don't already have some snide answer for. They care for me as friends but they hate what I believe. It sucks!

If you know me, you know that I just talk and mostly without thinking. Some people like this about me. I just want God to do that with me. I don't want to think. I want to say what God wants me to say to that person and have it flow freely, just as freely as my own compassion for that person.

I don't know. It's easy to say "Timothy, you gotta read that Bible and the answers will come" I think that is to generic and impersonal to tell someone. I don't tell a person that is hurting to do that. I don't want to be told that now. I would rather someone with more experience stood up and was there as a personal guide for this type of ordeal. I don't know what I am looking for I guess. I do know that I am supposed to talk to these people and things aren't working with the more awnry types.

So if you got a solution....speak up.

Have a great night and stop by if you want
Directions are under CONTACTS at www.bickettgallery.com

Timothy Lemuel

I would like to start out with publicly thanking Smitty for cleaning up the house with me. This is quite a feat you know.

I started the day out with a bang. I took three dogs out on a walk, or rather they walked me for 3 blocks. So I let my first bad word out before noon. Not so proud of that feat.

I cant wait for the weekend, its like a moment of truth for my efforts each weekend at the gallery. Please come by and check it out. I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I hope you are still out there. I havent been getting the email like I used to. Maybe you are just biding your time; ready to strike at any moment, saving your resources.

timothylemuel

Wednesday, I presume.

Here we are,

A tear comes to my eye when I remember the glory days. When you could hang out with friends and drink beers till the wee hours of the mornings and still wake up raring to go at 7am. With age, my younger readers, comes total body betrayal. I had a great time at the gallery last night(my only night of zero responsibilities. I stayed till close and made sure everyone was taken care of. Waking up this morning, I realized why my folks were always trying to get 5 minutes rest from us kids. They weren't the sticks-in-the-mud that I thought they were. They were just victims of this body betrayal.

Well today I evaluate my talk. I research and pray everyday so that I can have the right things to say when approached by someone that needs help. Everyday I have the pleasure of meeting someone and giving my shoulder to lean on. Sounds weird but its my thing, I speak for my Master on an everyday basis. Today I am going over approaches that I take. Usually I start the flow and God takes care of the rest The people lately have been really argumentative, so I gotta do my studying.
Well, say a prayer for me that I will figure it out.

I will catch up with you later after I leave the gallery.

as always, fill me in on something that you think I should discuss. Giraffes and kale are off limits(bad topics, see Smitty).

Excited for Saturday

I am very happy that I woke up at a decent time today. Yesterday I slept in to get my sleep for the weekend so today I got my 4 and got up. I have a lot to do today. Clean up the gallery, get prep-ed for Monday ordering. Well you get the idea.

I am gonna spend a little quality time with Eileen and try to relax later on today. I do however have to work tonight at 10.

Ok today. Today I look over the problems that I have left behind. I was gonna go into it with you but I am not sure what my Mom would think should she read this. Let's face it she has been through plenty with me. Through Christ, I have dropped habits and behaviors that I could never have done on my own. If you saw me 2 years ago and told me that I would be the man I am today, I would have broken down and started to cry. I have turned my life 180 and I am very excited about it.

The point of me bringing this up is to assure myself and anyone in an equal situation, there is more to come. There is so much more to come. He is preparing your day as we speak; people are falling into position to assist in the will. Right now someone is doing something obediently for God and he can't figure out why he is doing it.

Rest sure that it is happening, your prayers are sending out orders and things are being set up for you do amazing things.

But, you have to listen to the instructions that will make it all possible.

I am excited because I have been praying for a way to pay all of my debts and make all of my promises good.

Tell me what you think or what you have seen happening.

talk you you all later
TimothyLemuel

As my guitar gently weeps

Well folks, Gotta go to Havana's soon to work.

Two of the better bands in Raleigh are playing at Bickett Gallery tonight. Strange and Mothlight. It is sure to be a good show. They start at like 10. I am getting tired and am ready for my second wind. I hope you are all doing well. Write me back if there is something that you need to let off your chest. I will get more down tomorrow.

Oh yeah todays lesson. Be sensitive to those around you. I can't say that enough. Sometimes we say stuff or not say stuff and it ends up really hurting feelings. I am gonna make a conscious effort and I will pray about it too.

So tell someone you are glad they are around. Be excellent to each other. Station.

timothylemuel

Dark day for Jeff Buckley

Today I take Jeff Buckley in to the vet. He has an ear infection and its driving him nuts. I don't have the 100 dollars for the visit but I am praying for a miracle. I don't usually agree with folks that spend a lot of money on their dog. But I have had a change of heart. He is a good dog and was my only friend for a while.

Well before I make everyone sad for my dog let's change the subject.

Patience is my prayer for the day. I need more of it. When I pray for something, I have a hard time not recieving it within 24hrs.
I walk through a store or I see something that I really want and I have a hard time not buying it right then.
I want to finish 5 songs this month and I just can't convince God that this is important.

Well my friends, patience, I need it. Looking at it, patience is faith. Its knowing that God is gonna work it out in His time. So I will try to look at it this way: in order for God to make this whole will thing work out and all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, HE has to carefully work in these necessities of yours. If He just popped them out all the time whenever you thought you needed them, they would cause havoc.

Well as always; what do you think?

I got beef

Well I gotta tell you folks, I am having a bad day.

The house is a wreck. I have the entire cast and crew of a Sundance Film staying over. I found a couch outside and I can't walk freely without fear of tetanus. I am praying that I can maintain my mellow and chipper attitude. I have a lot to do today, but when I get in a funk I can't finish anything.
I have noticed a lot of apathy and laziness lately. I think that I should let you all know, I have watched the way we are living and interacting with others and I gotta say I am very disappointed.

Find your motivation people! We have very little time to do a whole lot. Take initiative, don't wait for the world to come to you. Don't sit back and be satisfied with the steps you have taken, keep walking. Keep challenging yourself and keep going. This goes for everyone, including me.

I love you all of course, I am just pointing out what is making me mad today.

So today re-evaluate things. How many people are you leading the right direction. How much do you actively participate in God's will?. Are you happy with your answers?

Timothy Lemuel

Sleepy Monday

Hello Everyone!

Had kind of a busy weekend. Sorry I didnt get a chance to write. But, here I am so enjoy!

I am talkin to the bartenders over here at the gallery today. I gotta let em know about the changes in hours and days of operation. I may have to hire one or two. I am nervous and excited about the next few weeks. So, if you are out and about on a weekend and you are looking for something to do, stop on by the gallery to show your support.

Today, hanging out with Eileen, I started to realize the big picture. Not the whole picture but part of the plot. The things that I desire for my life are rather large. I think that if I were given them years ago when I thought I should have them, I would have really messed things up. The blessings that I have been given lately are things that I am only just now able to handle.
I think that over the course of the last few years I have been like a tarnished piece of gold. God has been scouring me. When I am finally shiny I will be ready to be placed on the table with all of the other fine pieces. I think that I am alot shinier than I was last year.

What you think?

Later
Timothy Lemuel

F is for Friday

So, How is everyone this fine Friday afternoon? Me, I am great. We had a big turnout at the Gallery for the fashion show last night. I worked at Havana's last night and had to wake up early this morning for a meeting. I am looking forward to the next few weeks. I will start to become more of an on-call bartender there.

Ok I know you are eagerly awaiting the puzzling thought for today. I want to you to think about this. If you grew up in Amsterdam you would probably grow up with the attitude that marijuana and hash-hish aren't that bad of stuff. I am not condoning drug use of any kind, however, is what we think of as BAD really just determined by our culture.
We don't have more than one wife in this country because it's against the law. If we were alive in Old Testament times, we would have a bunch. These "standards" of right and wrong kinda freak me out. How hard would it be to phase out some things and phase in others. We could fall victim to finding weird stuff suddenly acceptable just because enough people want to do it.
All I am saying here is that if we grew up in a country where polligamy and daily marijuana use was the standard, would we be commiting an offense. Were these great kings of the Bible sinning by having the wives. I mean when the Bible refers to their riches, it always mentions the wives. That was wealth then.
Ok my brain hurts and I gotta get to work.

Respond via email at timothylemuel@yahoo.com
or preferably publicly here by clicking on the comment button beneath this entry.
just write your name at the end of your comment so I know who to send the flowers to.

later you crazy kids
Timothy Lemuel

Hump day?

Ok I got today's inspiring thought early this morning. It came in my email. WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE.

It wasn't referring to the four letter words as much as it was the negative talk. We say our prayers and ask God for this or that and we have a tendancy to speak negatively soon after. Someone says "Hey, what's up!" We say "Man I am tired and I don't feel well!".

I am not saying lie and act like some goofy religious guy. I am just saying maybe we should incorporate a little faith in our speach. Something like, "Man, I will feel great tomorrow". You are implying that you don't feel good today but you aren't empowering any negative spirit. On top of that you are speaking faith that you will feel good soon. If we have faith enough we can have mountains jumping around right? Well we gotta speak faith before we can ever start believing it.

Ok kids, this is the agenda. Remember, I list the agenda so you can pray for it.
1.)gotta pay some bills(have no money)
2.)get the word out that we(Bickett Gallery) will be opening 7 nights a week starting March 22.
3.)get more bands to call Ryan
4.)talk to Daniel (we are praying that he can be the construction dude)

Well email me at timothylemuel@yahoo.com if you wanna talk privately, otherwise, I will talk to you later.

Today's word is CRUNK \krunk\ adj crunk-er;crunk-est 1:providing entertainment, amusement, excitement, or enjoyment. "His Bar Mitzvah is supposed to be mad crunk" 2: crazy, insane 3:intoxicated "He got crunk on some nasty port"

Timothy Lemuel

2 for Tuesday

I hope that everyone is ok. I haven't had a chance to talk to anyone in TWO whole days. Yep, I am a busy man.

Well things are going great at the ole gallery. I started the ball rolling with the whole liquor permit thing. I hope it isn't as slow as anything else I have had to do downtown in the past. Talked to Ryan Pound last night. For those of you who haven't met Mr. Ryan Pound, he is quite possibly the finest ambassador for musicians I can think of. He is doing the booking over here at the Bickett Gallery. If you are a musician and you want a gig, call him at 834-7494.

I have band practice in about five minutes so I will talk to you guys later!

Hello Eileen!

Timothy Lemuel

Saturday Night Dance Fever

Well Well Well,

How is everyone doing this dismal Saturday? Me, I like the weather. It's warm and its raining, a nice breeze. Well, I like it. Things are going awesome. I got up around 10:30 and started this busy day. I was given a free washing machine to replace my old broken one. I introduce Daniel, (God willing my new construction dude) to Molly (the owner of the Bickett Gallery)this afternoon. Daniel is gonna be the perfect man for the job. I am very excited.

I was supposed to have lunch with someone today but she didn't make any attempt to let me know where. So when you (the person) read this don't think I forgot.

Someone put Micah 4:10-12 on my computer this morning, I appreciate it.

Here is the puzzling questions today. If God has a will that has already been figured out, should we ask for stuff? Doesn't God already know. How can everyone ask for wealth and abundance. What about the people that aren't supposed to get abundance according to his will. Shouldn't we just be thankful for Him allowing us to be used in His will?

Well, think about it. I work and live in an environment where I get to talk to alot of people. I like to know what the answers to questions like these are before someone challanges me to answer them. If you have an answer for me please respond. If not just sit back and enjoy checking up on me like you have been, silently waiting for the time to strike.

Later
Timothy Lemuel
